Too Many Masters is a romantic comedy about life on
the Shore in the recent and the distant past. Many
of the incidents in the play are true events taken
from the history and oral traditions of the shore.
They have been fictionalized in this account and
many of the names changed to protect the innocent
as well as the guilty. Life was often uncertain and
short in the old days. It was a time of masters,
servants and press gangs. Times were hard then as
they still can be today. Although much has changed,
much has stayed the same. We hope you enjoy this
lighthearted look at days gone by.
