The Regional Arts Centre is located in the centre of Town on the original townsite area of Ferryland. The building was erected in the 1920's and served as the main General Store for the community. Situated on the harbour shoreline, the facility commands a panoramic view of the Ferryland Islands. A short walk from the Centre, the Colony of Avalon archaeological site is located. This is Lord Baltimore's original colony started in 1621 which is probably the oldest continuously occupied village in British North America. If you are interested in a scenic walk, the old road leads out to the beautiful Ferryland Downs. Further along, the historic Lighthouse stands where Lighthouse Picnics operate.

A variety of cultural heritage events are presented in the Regional Arts Centre throughout the year. They include: Traditional Dance Lessons, Local and Special Concerts, St. Paddy's Day Celebrations, Dances, Art Exhibitions and Christmas Concert.

The Centre has much appeal to clients for private rentals due to its uniqueness and location. The ambience of the rooms coupled with the large exterior deck overlooking the harbour is a spectacular view. As a result, the Centre is popular for holding private parties and weddings. Typically, meals are arranged to our client's preference and may include a range of a soup and sandwich lunch to a three course fish or hot turkey dinner. In addition, a full bar service and live or taped music may be provided at the party's request.

The Centre functions well for business meetings, conferences and exhibitions with a large seating capacity. It offers the opportunity to conduct meetings in a peaceful atmosphere that enhances creativity and productivity. Staff outings are catered with food and entertainment depending on the client's needs. The building is fully wheelchair accessible.

The Centre offers three (3) distinct function rooms to suit the client's needs for rentals with seating capacities ranging from 60 - 450 guests.
